Iceland – Highlands Super Jeep Tour

Join our Iceland Highlands super jeep tour as we explore unchartered and incredibly hard to reach territory in Iceland.

Icelands nature is otherworldly, and we seek to show you the immense vastness and lunar-like landscapes – all far away from the main tourist route and crowded locations you`ve all seen before. The highlights are many, such as Veidivotn, Skyggnisvatn, Langisjor, Mælifell  and lots more.

We will be staying in hotels within or within reach of the highlands, and driven around in a spacious Mercedes Benz Sprinter 46 4WD with large windows and comfortable seats, quiet engine and an impeccable spotify playlist selection courtesy of Mr.Heitmann himself.

If you`ve been to Iceland before, fell in love with it and kinda got scared by the amount of people everywhere, this is the perfect tour for you. Both Arild and Stian are self-proclaimed introverts – so they will all seek locations outside of the norm and focus on the less-crowded spots, constantly following the light and be flexible in order to maximize all of our chances of creating portfolio and memories of a lifetime.

Day 1
Transportation to hotel in Hrauneyjar. If weather and time allows it, we will do long
exposure photography at Krokslon and Hrauneyjarlon.

Day 2
Veiðivötn all day – Minimalism and fineartphotography. Highlights include
Þóristindur (pictured) and Skyggnisvatn.

Days 3 and 4
We will re-visit Veiðivötn and explore the enormous Mælifellsandur as well as
getting real close to the Myrdalsjökull glacier front.

Day 5
This day will be all about the mighty Langisjór and its surroundings. We will do 1 hour
hike up to Sveinstindur for a 360-degree view of the many valleys and lakes. A stunning
location well worth the hike.

Day 6
We’ll spend the entire day exploring the vastness of the Langisjór area from  the opposite
side as the day before.

Day 7
Katlajökull glacier and start transportation back to Keflavik.Day 8
Departure day.

Above itinerary may be subject to change, depending on local weather and road conditions. To participate
in this tour you should have reasonable endurance for short walks with your camera gear in potentially wet and windy conditions.
