The Rock Towers Fairytale

Welcome to on of the most magical landscapes of Central Europe: Saxon Switzerland & Bohemian Switzerland. Well, you might be confused by the name “Switzerland” because here we are in Germany & Czech Republic. But in 19th century people tend to call areas with outstanding natural beauty like this. And the beauty of the landscape along the border is really beautiful. Hundreds of rock towers sticking out of the forests, crowned by astonishing viewpoints and castle remains.

Down in the valley the river Elbe, with some nice towns and villages on the river banks. Little waterfalls, deep forests and narrow gorges. That’s the area where the atmosphere of Brothers Grimm’s fairytales can be experienced still today.
There are many viewpoints reachable per short walk or little hikes. November is a great time to visit, since fog is quite common then, there are still some yellow leaves on the beech trees, but the rock towers are even more impressive now then in summer.

We will take our time to explore forest scenes and epic vistas. During the tour we will offer processing sessions as well as give insights into how to best take advantage of forest scenes, which can be quite challenging.

Guided by Arild Heitmann, Stian Klo and the fog and forest addicted German photographer Kilian Schönberger we will have an exciting time with surprising views.
